Seto no Hanayome - 08
So after the end of episode 07, it looks like two new factions have formed who call themselves San Faction and Luna Faction. The episode starts off in a seemingly seperate dimension in which the school is left in ruins after a long battle between the two factions. Nagasumi is being chased by both factions due to the fact that both Runa and San live in his house. Runa Faction members wear Darth-Vader like helmets whereas the San Faction just wear helmets and shirts with a sun symbol on them. Also, the members of Sun Faction scream like little girls when they talk. Eventually Nagasumi is saved by Mawari and her Public Morals Committee and it's pretty funny watching the guys get beat up by girls. Nagasumi is then transported back to the normal world inside a classroom surrounded by all the girls of the Public Morals Committee (which I will now call PMC from this point on). Mawari interrogates Nagasumi and wants him to decide whether he chooses San-chan or Runa-chan and he responds with a "It's none of your business" which causes Mawari to go psycho on him.
It then switches back to the post-apocalyptic version of the school with San and Luna looking down at the wreckage from the school roof. San asks Luna to stop fighting but Luna acts innocent as usual and cries (while obviously holding a bottle of eyedrops) and says that the battle will never end until one side falls. San asks why they have to fight in school and Luna replies by saying there can only be one main lead. San, in her usual carefree character tells Luna that she can just be the main lead but Luna doesn't accept. Nagasumi is being chased again and finally manages to escape school grounds but runs into Saru dressed as some kind of wise master who then proceeds to gives Nagasumi advice on how to stop the fighting. He suggests that Nagasumi speak to them to try and stop their fighting so Nagasumi runs home to talk to San. However, he comes home to find Maki heavily injured and in critical condition with the rest of the seto family sitting around her. The Seto family seems to have figured out that Maki was injured by Luna after Maki tried to attack her for trespassing on Nagasumi's property. Because Luna is in the Edomae group, the Seto family take it as a call to action and decide to "teach them about the code of gansters" (with an mg42). San then decides to speak to Luna in person but Nagasumi tells her she can't use violence. San says she hates violence too so Nagasumi mans up and decides to visit Luna in place of San.
Nagasumi goes back to the post-apocalyptic school and delivers San's message to Luna which was to decide the outcome of the war with singing. Luna quickly agrees and states that if San loses, then Nagasumi will be forced to be her servant. Nagasumi asks Luna what she will do if she loses and she replies with "Is there a way I can lose?". The school auditorium is set up for a concert and Luna and San prepare to battle it out with one song each. The left half of the auditorium is all Luna Faction members whereas the right side is all San Faction members. The battle then starts with Luna singing a new song called "Lunarian" but when the song is finished, the Luna Faction calls for an encore and tries to stop San from singing. When Luna begins singing her encore song "Your Gravitation", San interrupts her by copying her song. Luna is furious and tries to sing along but San's voice overpowers hers. Eventually their mermaid voices begin taking a strange effect on the crowd and causes them to go wild. All the faction members from both Luna and San faction go crazy and start doing perverted things which the episode covers up with red circles that say "Forbidden" on them. Mawari and her PMC are outside and plan to crash the concert but when Mawari opens the door she finds a naked student spinning in circles in front of her and she closes the door. Luna is pissed that the concert turned into a freakshow and she begins to sing a mermaid warsong which riles up the two factions and causes them to fight. It seems there is no way to stop them, but San and Nagasumi come up with an idea to stop the fighting. San begins to sing the ancient mermaid song "Heroic Song" which gives Nagasumi a huge power boost. Nagasumi enters the center of the fight and starts beating people up in stick figure form. Eventually everyone gets scared of him and they all stop fighting and run away. Luna then breaks down and cries but is confronted by the Seto group. San demands that Luna apologize to Maki for what she did but Luna says that she didn't do anything. San's father is furious but is stopped by Maki and Ren who show up just a little too late to tell everyone the truth. It seems while Maki tried to attack Luna with a Jet Ram Attack, she missed and ran into a brick wall instead which means all the injuries Maki had were caused on her own. Once they all realized that Luna didn't do anything San hugs her and tries to console her for all the trouble they put on her. After the battle, everyone goes home for some rest and the next morning, Luna is eating breakfast with them which means she's probably gonna be there for awhile. Luna seems to have toned down her crazy personality for the most part.

Impressions:
This is by far one of the best SnH episodes out. Although I didn't enjoy the faction battle much, Super Nagasumi was the star of this episode. His over-the-top buffness and manliness was just too hilarious. I love how he tries to smile with his buff face because his lips hardly move at all. I made a comparison image here just for the lulz.
We also hear a good song from both Luna and San. Although Luna's voice is just a bit too high, I still love her song the most. San's was good but it seemed like she tried a little too hard to get that mature sounding voice. Did I mention Luna was cute as hell in this episode? Her dances during the song were adorable and her crying breakdown was way too moe. Her crying voice hit me so hard it almost turned me gay (in a good way).
